Autumn’s Quiet Whisper

Autumn’s Quiet Whispers embodies the delicate balance between movement and stillness — a soft dialogue of colour and texture inspired by the final exhale of the season. Created as a small diptych of two 20 × 20 cm canvases, it explores the gentle hush that follows autumn’s blaze, when warmth lingers in the air before giving way to calm.

Tones of deep russet, copper, and burnished gold sweep across soft ivory grounds, interlaced with metallic accents that shimmer under changing light. Each form feels suspended in motion — a whisper of energy stilled mid-breath — capturing that fleeting moment between transformation and rest. The composition carries both fluidity and restraint, echoing RJ Collective’s ongoing fascination with “emotion in motion.”

Currently sealed with gloss varnish and awaiting a final resin topcoat, this piece marks a transition between studio refinement and exhibition readiness. The resin layer will heighten depth and luminosity, transforming the metallics into liquid fire beneath a glass-smooth surface.
